    The income is to be used to aid male students with financial need, who have demonstrated a sincere effort to succeed academically. Should no student meet the criteria for the Alvina Haack Ministerial Scholarship in a given academic year, the interest will revert to the principal.

    Ninety percent of the net annual income shall be awarded in scholarships to full-time traditional students who demonstrate financial need. Ten percent of the net annual income shall be added to the corpus of the Fund.

    During his lifetime, or until otherwise directed, the Donor intends to continue funding the annual scholarship and desires that all earnings for the fund be reinvested in accordance with investment policies determined by the Board of Regents. When the annual scholarship funding ends, the endowment will be used to provide scholarships based on financial need to students who have declared a major in the music or fine arts (performing and visual), and who have completed at least two years of their undergraduate studies. The donor prefers that the award be given to one recipient rather than dispersed among several.

    The income is to be used for scholarships for third or fourth year students in preministerial or other church work programs who are above average scholastically and demonstrate financial need.

    The University may retain and reinvest up to twenty percent of the income from the fund in its discretion for purposes of maintaining the real value of the fund in future years. The income is to be used for the purpose of supporting one or more Regents Scholarships. Such scholarships shall be awarded to outstanding students who meet the terms and conditions prescribed by the University for such awards. At the time of the creation of this endowment (February 17, 2005), these include a GPA of 3.7 for continuing students or a class ranking in the 90th percentile with an ACT score of 26 for new students.
